Survey up to 50km per day
The speed of operation of the
system means a full coating assessment of up to 50km a day
can be completed on a transmission pipeline in reasonably
good condition. The resulting cost saving makes possible
regular repeat surveys on major pipelines - say every 6 or
12 months - without going over budget.
Such a series of stored survey reports are automatically
compared and analysed to identify new faults, highlight
deteriorating sections and monitor any changes in pipeline
cover. Potential problems are tackled before they become
serious.
